Sápmi defines the land of the Sámi, an area that stretches from southern Norway and Dalarna in Sweden in the south to the Kola Peninsula in the east. It comprises parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. It is an area within which different Sámi and non-Sámi cultures have lived and moved through the ages. The Sámi are the indigenous people of this region.
